Stranger Things 4 is one of the most anticipated TV series of the moment. After the long break due to the lockdown, the actors and the whole crew returned to the set in September, sticking to all the anti-contage rules. The filming is currently taking place in Georgia, but many scenes will also be shot outside the United States, as officially announced by the production.
With the beginning of the work, fans are eager to know all the possible anticipations and the authors have fun to offer clues and reveal secrets, or presumed such. A few days ago they unveiled the titles of three episodes of the next season, which will consist totally of nine episodes. Unfortunately, no one is sure that they are official, but they seem to represent a joke for the most curious fans. Will these really be the final titles? The creators of the show have not revealed the mystery, in perfect Stranger Things style.
Stranger Things 4: the mystery of the titles
After the pressing requests of fans on some details of the next episodes, the writers have posted on Twitter the titles of the second, third and fourth episode.
The first is Tick Tock Mr Clock, which is the title of a famous American children’s song. The second is You Snooze You, a proverb similar to the Italian “chi dorme non piglia pesci” while the third title is Wakey Wakey Eggs and Bakey, another way of saying to indicate that, even if there are no eggs and bacon, breakfast is still ready.
The phrases to many seemed just a joke by the creators of the series, also because they are unique and in fact do not reveal anything of the plot of Stranger Things. It is no coincidence that they were communicated in the month of Halloween, which in America is dedicated to pranks and fun, a bit like our carnival.
The writers are not new to games of this type. In fact, in June, they had promised to share with the public a photo that represented the entire fourth season and had published on social media the new scripts, leaving disappointed viewers, who instead want more interesting anticipations.
The only title that so far seems the final one is that of the first episode: “Chapter One: The Hellfire Club”. Fans have wondered why this choice was made. The name “Hellfire Club” refers both to the group of characters of the same name that appears in Marvel comics, arch-enemies of the X-Men, and to secret groups that were widespread in Great Britain and Ireland in the 18th century.
Will the plot refer to Chernobyl?
According to several theories, among the themes of the fourth season there will be a clear reference to the Chernobyl tragedy of 1986, and this would also be in line with the stories told so far that refer to nuclear experiments involving Russia and America.
Another theory concerns instead Eleven: the girl with amazing magical powers will be kidnapped by the Mindflyer and will become evil. Of course, this is only conjecture and we will have to wait for the release of the series to clarify.
When will Stranger Things 4
Originally, the fourth season was supposed to be released in 2020, but major complications caused by the pandemic led to a postponement of filming. According to the latest rumors, we will be able to see the new episodes during the spring of 2021.
In the meantime, however, you can watch the first three seasons of Stranger Things on Netflix or let yourself be conquered by similar TV series already available in many video streaming platforms.
