“M’Illumino di Meno” becomes social with the apps of Italian startups

The M’Illumino di Meno campaign, created by the Radio2 program Caterpillar, was created to raise public awareness of energy waste

February 24 is the festival of energy saving and sustainable lifestyles dedicated this year to sharing. Three startups – Jojob, URBI and Gnammo have adhered to the initiative promoted by Caterpillar, organizing collective dinners without waste, promoting sharing mobility and rewarding those who will give a car ride to colleagues.

Each of these startups on February 24 will organize a special initiative. URBI, aggregator of the main urban mobility systems, promotes the use of sharing mobility by showing how it is possible to give up your car in favor of other means of transport. Jojob, the company carpooling, instead, will involve its more than 90,000 users to stimulate them to share the car and encouraging new colleagues to join. Gnammo, the largest social eating platform in Italy, instead, will organize a candlelight evening to turn off the lights and avoid wasting energy.

URBI: shared mobility

Downloading the URBI application on your smartphone you can book a daily subscription to BikeMi, the bike sharing service in Milan, to be collected for free on February 24 from 9 am to 6 pm at the Urban Mobility Point at the Banca Sella branch in Via Gonzaga 3. URBI will give away, to the first 50 users who go to the Point on February 24, a “shared mobility package” that includes a BikeMi day pass, an ATM public transport ticket and free membership to Car2Go with a €5 free ride.

Jojob: company carpooling

Every user who on February 24 certifies that they have shared a car journey with other employees will receive a M’Illumino di Meno badge on their profile and will be awarded a “gold leaf” to be converted into special prizes. Jojob, always on February 24, will launch a new service to simplify the sharing of the car also during the company transfers of the employees.

Gnammo: dinners in the dark

Among the most curious events there is the dinner of the Gnammo team – Noi speGNAMMO” – based on bourguignonne to avoid using gas and electricity. The Municipality of Besozzo (VA) for the occasion will also open the courtyard and the exhibition hall of the Palazzo Comunale where the street food trucks of Cuochingiro will turn off the generators and cook only with gas stoves.
