The launch of the new Nokia 3.4 lowcost smartphone is approaching: features unveiled. Here’s everything we know
Nokia is preparing to launch five new low-cost smartphones in the coming months and among them is also the Nokia 3.4. The first rumors about the characteristics have appeared on the benchmarking site Geekbench and the most interesting is that it could be equipped with a Snapdragon processor.
The Finnish company could launch the Nokia 3.4 as early as September, along with the other model Nokia 2.4. The other three upcoming smartphones, two of which support the 5G connection standard, will arrive by December 2020: these are the Nokia 9.3 PureView 5G, Nokia 7.3 5G and Nokia 6.3. In recent weeks more and more rumors about these models have anticipated some of the features, but only now from the site Geekbench we can discover something more about the Nokia 3.4, which could have the same and powerful processor of other smartphones including the Nokia 5.3.
Nokia 3.4, unveiled features
The new budget smartphone of the Finnish company on the benchmark site appeared with the code name DoctorStrange and could be equipped with an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor with a frequency of 1.8 Ghz. The codename of the processor is Bengal, which could match the Snapdragon 460 or the Snapdragon 662. The benchmark sites, however, believe that the Snapdragon 460 is the most likely candidate to be found on the Nokia 3.4.
If so, it would be the fourth smartphone released with this processor after Oppo A53 2020, Vivo Y20 and the Motorola Moto E7 Plus. In the site it was also confirmed that Nokia 3.4 will have 3 GB of RAM and Android 10 as the operating system, but it is still not excluded that RAM could be available in other variants of 2 GB p 4 GB. The design and other features of the new smartphone remain a mystery, but that could be revealed soon, with the launch date that would be close and is scheduled for next September along with the Nokia 2.4.
