Not that this is unexpected news: since the beginning of the men’s volleyball pre-Olympic tournament, it was known that the Balkans would be our first rival to win the pass to Tokyo and so it was.
A tough match, which sees us opposed to one of our “black beasts”: against the Serbian sextet, the Azzurri have always struggled, as evidenced by the net 3-0 remedied in the last direct clash played in 2018. Italy arrives at this match after winning easily against Cameroon and beating Australia at the tie-break. A clear path, which, however, showed some inattention in both the defensive and offensive phases. To win against the Serbians, however, it will be necessary to play the perfect match.
