ZTE Axon 30 is expected to arrive soon, with an evolved under-screen camera. This is confirmed by a man from ZTE.
ZTE is reportedly ready to launch attempt two of the under-screen camera. This is suggested by rumors and a source within the company, according to which a third component of the range ZTE Axon 30 is on the way after having presented in recent months ZTE Axon 30 Pro and 30 Ultra.
In the display of what should be called simply ZTE Axon 30 in addition to the fingerprint reader should also be integrated front camera for selfies, thus giving the screen the opportunity to maximize the portion of front surface occupied relegating to the past discontinuities, such as notch or holes, or solutions fascinating but complicated to implement, such as motorized mechanisms that “extract” the camera from the frame. In short, integrating the front camera into the display is not only a scenography, an exercise in style, but it is also the meeting point between design costs and aesthetic and technological progress.
ZTE Axon 30 in the home stretch
In the past few hours, the director of ZTE’s user experience department, Lu Qianhao, has let it be known via Weibo – to be clear, the Chinese Facebook – that they are working on an evolution of the camera under the screen for the Axon 30 line. A clue contained in the message would place the news in the period between June 22 and July 22, that of Cancer.
ZTE was the first company to equip a consumer device, the ZTE Axon 20 smartphone, with an integrated under-screen camera. Despite the boldness shown by the company, it didn’t turn out so well: a large portion of those who had a chance to take a few selfies were not satisfied, due to a quality of the shots not quite in line with those that would come out of a smartphone with a traditional front-facing camera.
There was and probably will be to work to give the display that permeability more light to offer a quality finally satisfactory, and who knows it may not be just ZTE with Axon 30 the company to convince everyone with the evolution of that project started in September 2020.
Information few, for the moment
At the moment, however, the information on ZTE Axon 30 are very scarce. However, it should share several specs and features with its siblings already on sale, Axon 30 Pro and Axon 30 Ultra. Perhaps the display, which will undoubtedly remain of AMOLED type and will have a refresh rate higher than the “classic” 60 Hz.
It is likely that the designers want to file the hardware of the older brothers to make up for the higher costs that come from a cutting-edge technology such as the camera under the screen.
So ZTE Axon 30 may not have the Snapdragon 888 chip from Qualcomm but a less powerful but also cheaper solution, such as the Snapdragon 778G. A little less could be expected in terms of storage offerings, up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of internal memory on the Axon 30 Pro and Ultra.
The feeling is that regardless of the specifications of ZTE Axon 30 and the sacrifices compared to its big brothers, all eyes will be on the performance of the camera under the screen.
