Made by an Austrian company, the C Seed 262 is a TV with crazy measurements: it’s 6.14 meters wide and 2.57 meters high and has a diagonal of 6.5 meters
Are you looking for a new 4K TV to buy for your new apartment? Unless you want to spend almost half a million euros, the one produced by C Seed is not really for you. To take it home the Austrian company asks, in fact, 490 thousand euros. A bit too much for a screen to be placed in the living room.
Trying to understand the reasons behind this unusual price policy, to put it mildly, the exaggerated dimensions of the C Seed 262, this is the name of the device, could partly justify the money requested. Partly, but not entirely. The C Seed 262 is the largest 4K television ever made. The measurements speak for themselves. The display of the Vienna-based company’s device has a diagonal of a whopping 6.5 meters. Making the figure more clearly, it means that the C Seed 262 is 6.14 meters wide and 2.57 meters high. Features that bring Seed’s TV closer to movie screens.

Is that all? Absolutely not. Another reason that may have prompted the Austrian company to ask 490 thousand euros is perhaps the LED panel, which has a 5000:1 contrast ratio and a brightness of 800 nits. The TV also mounts 6 speakers, made in collaboration with L-Acoustic, which ensure excellent sound quality. And what about the resolution? It is 4096 x 1716 pixels.
The novelties do not end there. The TV is equipped with a cloth, which serves to cover the display, able to withdraw, thanks to a motorized system, by pressing a button. The C Seed 262, like the latest smartphones, has the front panel entirely covered by the screen, which is borderless on the three main sides.
The price of the TV is not the only cost to be taken into account. Weighing 800 kilograms, its installation is “slightly” complicated. Better to rely on the company, given the 490 thousand euros required. Too bad, however, that to mount the television, C Seed claims another 35 thousand euros.
