Wind, costs increase for those who recharge late: what changes

From December 2, a new Wind remodulation is triggered: here’s what changes for users and what service is involved

From December 2, contractual conditions worsen for Wind customers who have an active rechargeable offer with traffic included. If you forget to top up your credit close to the renewal of the subscription and the available credit is not enough to renew it, the telephone operator will not block the offer, but will make the user pay a sort of penalty: 0.99 euros per day to continue calling and surfing the internet.

For Wind users this is not a novelty. As early as last June, the company intervened, modifying contractual conditions and ensuring continuity of service for two days at a cost of €0.99 for users who forget to top up their credit. With the new remodulation, therefore, the conditions are slightly worsened: paying 0.99 euros will not extend the offer for two days but only for one. If even the second day you forget to recharge the SIM, you will be credited an additional 0.99 euros, but in return you will receive the opportunity to use the offer for two days.

Remodulation Wind December 2, 2019: what changes for users

The announcement of the remodulation involving all Wind customers with a rechargeable offer with included traffic comes from the same phone operator. Since October 29, in fact, Wind is communicating via SMS the change that will start from December 2.

In the message it reads: “Starting from December 2, 2019, for needs related to market trends, every time the credit is insufficient for the activation and renewal of the options active on the SIM, except for costs related to roaming offers, the included traffic will not be blocked, to ensure continuity of service, and will be made available for a 1 calendar day (until 23.59) at a cost of 0.99 euros. If on the following day the credit is still insufficient, the included traffic will be available again for a further 2 days at a cost of 0.99 euros. These amounts do not apply if the Autorecharge service is active. The traffic advance will be made available several times a month. This change is valid for options with included traffic active on your SIM.

At the end of the days in which the included traffic is made available in advance, in case the credit is still insufficient, the SIM will remain active for receiving or making emergency calls. The cost will be charged in the first useful recharge, in addition to the offer renewal or activation cost.”

What changes for users? What are the new conditions of Wind? Very simple. If you forget to top up and you don’t have enough credit to renew your offer, the phone operator ensures continuity of service at a cost of 0.99 euros for the first calendar day (until 23:59). If, on the second day, the user still does not top up, he will be charged a further 0.99 euros and in exchange he will be able to use the service for 48 hours.

The cost of the “premium” service will be charged to the user at the first useful top-up and is added to the cost of the monthly offer.

Those who have the Autorecharge service active will not be affected by the remodulation.

How to avoid the remodulation Wind
