In fin dei conti però solo Netflix può effettivamente decidere il destino di Sex Education 4. Butterfield ha espresso un parere trasversale alle due colleghe. Da un lato apre una quarta e quinta stagione, ma proprio perché i ragazzi sono al liceo è per lui difficile pensare che una serie come Sex Education possa arrivare ad avere 10 stagioni. Nell’intervista rilasciata recentemente a Digital Spy è sembrato scettico: “Forse tutto finirà con la terza stagione”.
Curiosità
Un’alternativa alla quarta stagione potrebbe essere uno spin off di serie o un film per Natale. Butterfield ha espresso tutto il suo entusiasmo per dei progetti di questo genere in un’intervista a Cosmopolitan. Ovviamente il progetto di uno spin off di serie dovrebbe essere strutturato e ben congegnato, non tanto per cavalcare l’onda del successo. Un forte indizio per una quarta stagione c’è: i ragazzi, pur frequentando l’ultimo anno di scuola, nella terza stagione non si sono diplomati. Attendiamo la quella che sarà la scelta di Netflix nelle prossime settimane.
