Why the house of paper is called this way

Waiting for the last season starting on September 3, let’s see why the house of paper has this name and what other title has been discarded instead.

On September 3, Volume I of the last season of the house of paper starts, promising a truly epic finale of the gang with the face of Dali. In the meantime, in addition to learning about the quirks and curiosities of the most popular international series of all time, we reveal the origin of its name.

The House of Paper,  conceived by Álex Pina, is coming soon with the fifth and final season for which fans have long since begun the countdown. Few know that initially the house of paper, in Spanish casa del papel, should have had another name yet: “Los Desahuciados”. Translated it would have been the evicted or even better, those without hope. Few know that after the airing of the second series, which was a fiasco on Spanish TV, a call came from Netflix to the producers asking for the possibility to add the series to the catalog. What happened next we know.

The name the house of paper

The name of the TV series is strongly linked to the first two seasons, then perhaps incorrectly, but which has always pleased millions of fans, has never changed. II first two episodes of the house of paper takes place inside the Spanish State Mint. The State in this place prints money, the “paper” referred to in the title of the Spanish series. The Mint is the home of Spain’s money.

During the first season of casa del papel the Dali group, led by the Professor steal and multiply the money and manage to escape with the loot. Only in the second season in the second episode, Aikido, they will distribute in the zero hour, 140 million euros in 50 banknotes in the skies of Madrid.
