To find out who is spying on you on WhatsApp you need to post Stories and check who has viewed them: here’s how to do it
You are curious to find out who has visited your WhatsApp account, but you can’t figure out how to do it. The reason is very simple: there is no specific function for who to understand who visits my WhatsApp profile. Or at least that’s what many people think. In reality, with a simple WhatsApp trick you can find out who is spying on you and who enters your profile to check your status.
As you well know, for a couple of years now the messaging application has released a feature that allows you to publish on your profile timed images that disappear after 24 hours. The operation is identical to Instagram Stories: you can add filters, text, GIFs and labels. Once the customization is complete, the image is published on your profile for twenty-four hours and all the people who have your phone number can view it. Just as it happens with Instagram Stories, also in the WhatsApp Status you can find out who has seen the image and has “spied” on your profile. Here’s how to find out who visits my WhatsApp.
How to check who has seen WhatsApp Status
The best way to find out who has visited your WhatsApp account is to check WhatsApp Status views. In fact, as it happens with Instagram Stories, WhatsApp also reports who has viewed the images posted in the Status. This particular information allows us to understand who is spying on our profile and check that there is not something suspicious. Doing it is very simple.
First you post a couple of images in the Status section. Our suggestion is to post at least a couple of pictures, so that you have more data on which to make an evaluation. At this point wait a couple of hours and go back to your WhatsApp account. Open the application and press on the Status section. Click on the images you have posted and you’ll notice that at the bottom there is an eye-shaped icon with a number on the side: these are the people who have viewed the photo. Pressing on the icon will open a list with all the names of people who have visited your WhatsApp profile. This operation is to be repeated for all the images posted in the WhatsApp Status and in the end you will have a precise idea of who is spying on you on the messaging application. This WhatsApp trickĀ applies to both Android and iOS.
Why I can’t see who is spying on me on WhatsApp
You have posted dozens of images in WhatsApp Status, but the view counter is stuck at zero. The reason is very simple: your privacy settings do not allow your friends to see the images posted in WhatsApp Stories. To check the privacy level, you need to enter the application, press on Settings and then on Accounts. In the new window that will open, press on Privacy and all the settings related to the protection of your profile will appear on the screen. Look for the Status item and select it: a new menu will open with three options: “My contacts”; “My contacts except…” and “Share with…”. Set it to “My Contacts” and press “Finish”.
Watch out for scams
To conclude, we would like to warn you against fake WhatsApp applications that promise to find out who is visiting your profile. These are applications that in most cases are not found on the official Android and iOS stores and are a danger to the security of your personal data. If some of your friends recommend you to install apps like “GB WhatsApp” and “WhatsApp Plus” to get extra features, be very careful. These are apps that collect information about WhatsApp chats and resell them on the dark web.
