An example is the double blue ticks that allow you to understand if the message we sent has been read by the recipient. But few people know another function of the application that allows you to find out the time when the message was viewed.
This information may seem useless, but in reality it turns out to be essential especially to understand how long our friend has read the message. If, for example, a couple of hours have passed, it means that he is not interested in our proposal or that he simply read it but forgot to reply. To find out how long the message has been read just use a simple function within WhatsApp and that few people know. You don’t have to activate it from Settings but it is present by default within the app. Here’s how to find out when a person has read our WhatsApp message.
How to find out the reading time of a WhatsApp message
You have sent a WhatsApp message to a friend, he has viewed it but still does not respond to you. What can be the causes? He might not be interested in the proposal, or he doesn’t feel like replying at that moment. But it can also be that he just read it. WhatsApp’s blue ticks let you know that the message has been read, but they don’t offer information about when it was viewed. Fortunately, the application offers a simple trick to find out the time it was viewed as well. Just select the message you sent and press the “i” icon that appears at the top. A new window will open with all the information about the message: the time it was delivered to the recipient and when it was read. This way we’ll understand when our friend has read the message.
The trick works on both Android and iOS and also within groups. By selecting the message we sent and pressing on the “i” icon we will find out all the people who have viewed it.
