What we know about Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20+ and Galaxy S20 Ultra

One month before the official launch, we already know everything, or almost. Technical specifications and prices are already known: here they are

The next Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2020 event, scheduled for February 11, 2020 at 20:00, is just a few days away, and there are many models expected for the 2020 smartphone range. One thing we already know, however, is that they will not be called Galaxy 11 but Galaxy 20.

The models that will be presented will be six, three of which will belong to the Galaxy 20 series. Then we also expect the foldable Galaxy Fold 2, of which perhaps more variants will be presented. The most anticipated products, however, are those intended for the general public: Samsung Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20+ and Galaxy S20 Ultra. The first will be the heir to the Galaxy S10e, the second to the Galaxy S10, and the third to the Galaxy S10+. It will therefore take a while to get used to the new nomenclature, but according to rumors they will be three high-level products and absolutely valid, with more than good technical specifications: the entire Samsung Galaxy S20 range, in fact, will revolve around the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC or the Exynos 990.

Samsung Galaxy S20: technical specifications and price

The Samsung Galaxy S20 will replace the current S10e and will be a device with not excessive dimensions: the screen will be 6.2 inches, with a resolution of 3,200×1,440 pixels (20:9 ratio). The maximum refresh rate will be 120 Hz, but only at FHD+ resolution. The display, OLED, will integrate the fingerprint reader. The RAM will be 12 GB, while the internal storage will start at 128 GB. Apparently, there will be no headphone jack or microSD slot. The front camera will be 10 MP, while at the rear there will be three: 12 MP, Wide 12 MP and 64 MP zoom. The battery will be 4,000 mAh with 25-watt charging. We expect a price around 800 euros for the 4G version and 900 euros for the 5G version.

Samsung Galaxy S20+: technical specifications and price

The Samsung Galaxy S20+ will replace the current S10 and will be a 6.7-inch device, with a display with the same features as the Galaxy S20. Dimensions aside, the S20+ will have compared to its younger brother more battery (4,300 mAh) and an extra rear camera (the sensroe ToF). The price for the 4G version will be about 900 euros, that of the 5G version will touch a thousand euros.

Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra: technical specifications and price

The Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra will replace the current S10+ and will have a huge screen: 6.9 inches, but with the same features as the others (integrated fingerprint sensor, 3,200×1,440 pixels, 20:9 ratio and 120 Hz only at FHD+). Unlike the previous models will have 16 gigabytes of RAM, a microSD slot, memory up to 1 terabyte and 5,000 mAh battery. But the real difference will be in the photo compartment: 32 MP front sensor and 4 rear cameras of 108 MP, wide 12 MP, zoom 48 MP and ToF. In addition, the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra will be available only in 5G version and at a really high price: 1,300 euros.
