What the Nintendo Switch Mini will look like

Nintendo is working on two new consoles, including a mini version of the Switch. The device could hit the market by the end of the year

Nintendo Switch was born in 2017 and in just a few years it swept the video game console landscape. Its success is determined by its hybrid nature: it can be used at home by connecting it to a monitor, and at the same time it can be detached and used on the move as a portable console.

This solution has been able to respond to a growing demand from video game fans, who in this way do not have to give up facing missions and challenges when they are on the subway, traveling or simply away from home. And thanks to the success of the product, Nintendo would like to launch two new versions of the Switch on the market. One of them would have a more compact structure, a lower price, and according to rumors it could be only pocket-sized, without hooking to a monitor. The news has been circulating since last fall, but the Japanese company has not yet confirmed the news.

New Nintendo Switch Mini: what will it look like?

Nintendo is allegedly working on two new versions of the Switch, and although the company has not confirmed the news, rumors have emerged that are quite well-founded. Launching them was a company called HonSon Group, which has been producing console accessories and gadgets since 2004. It has recently published images showing a prototype product that is called Nintendo Switch Mini. The Chinese company would have started producing cases, headsets, protective films for this new product, and it would even be possible to pre-order them online.

No official confirmation from Nintendo

Many experts claim that these are products created specifically to increase the level of curiosity, but in reality there would be no final design. The images used as reference in the website, are actually mockups designed by fans and enthusiasts. One thing is certain, in the product sheets of these accessories there is no reference to specifications and dimensions, hence the many doubts about the veracity of the news.

In short, the wait is high and the leakers have even speculated that the date of release of the new console was by the end of June. However, since there is no official news from Nintendo, it seems really unlikely that the Switch Mini will go on sale soon.
