Google Dashboard is a service of the Google platform that lets you know what services are associated with your account and what kind of personal data they collect.

What is Google Dashboard

Before understanding how to use Google Dashboard, what is it? It is a kind of control center of the Google platform, which allows you to view in detail all the activities of your account, find out what services are associated, understand what data has been collected where the services in question have been used at least once.

Google in fact collects user data to improve the user experience. So for example in the ‘Your Google services’ section you can see all the services that have been used at least once and the data that has been collected, or in the ‘Web and app activity’ section you can see the data stored on Google’s services and manage it.

How to access Google Dashboard

Once you understand what this is all about, let’s see how to access Google Dashboard. This is a simple and rather quick procedure. You have to access your Google account by clicking on the ‘sign in’ button and entering your password. Then you have to click on the photo associated with your profile, in the upper right corner, selecting the option ‘Manage your Google account’: in this way you access the main page of the account. Then you have to enter the section ‘Data and customization’.

At this point, you just have to click on the appropriate button, in order to access the bulletin board, where the services and data that are associated with the account in use are shown. In the ‘Things you do and create’ section you then need to click on the ‘Go to Google Dashboard’ item. Alternatively, you can access the Google Dashboard quickly using Google Chrome. Just launch the browser, log in, and then click on the ‘Enable Sync’ button at the top right.

This will synchronize the data associated with your account, so you can view and edit it. At this point, to access the Google Dashboard, you need to click on the picture and select ‘Manage your Google account’, to access the main page of the account itself. You then go to the ‘Data and customization’ option and then to the ‘Things you do and create’ section and finally to the ‘Go to Google Dashboard’ section.

Accessing Google Dashboard from smartphones and tablets

It is also possible to access Google Dashboard from smartphones and tablets, with a procedure prarically identical to the one used for the PC. If you have an Android device, you can access it directly from the settings menu, represented by the gear-shaped wheel. Just click on it and then click on Google.

At this point you will have to go to the item ‘Manage your Google account’, select ‘Data and customization’ and click on ‘What you do and create’. At this point, the item ‘Go to Google Dashboard’ will appear: just press on it, to access the bulletin board of your Google account. You can also access Google Dashboard on your iPhone or iPad, using a standard browser and following the same instructions as on your PC.
