Vivo V20 Pro: features of the smartphone with two selfie cameras

Vivo launches a new smartphone with two selfie cameras on the display: the features and price of Vivo V20 Pro

Vivo had promised new levels of performance for its cameras and is keeping expectations high even in the presentation of its new smartphones. In particular, the Vivo V20 Pro that has just been unveiled in Thailand these days is equipped with no less than two selfie cameras in the front.

Vivo Mobile Corporation is part of the BBK Electronics group, which also manufactures and sells Oppo, Realme and OnePlus branded devices, and will probably soon start nibbling away at the market share that Huawei is losing, eventually replacing it. It also starts with that latest model in the Vivo V series, which focuses on a sleek design, support for 5G connectivity, an anti-reflective matte glass protection on the back, but above all on the bundled camera compartment. It’s not clear, however, if with the Vivo V20 Pro the Chinese company has followed up on the announcement of a few weeks ago, which promised the evolution of the RGBW sensor that comes with its devices for bright photos even in low ambient light conditions.

Vivo V20 Pro, the camera compartment

On the back we find a camera with triple configuration with a 64-megapixel Samsung ISOCELL GW1 main sensor, then an 8-megapixel 120-degree wide-angle lens and a 3-megapixel monochrome sensor. Among the functions of the triple camera, there are several that ensure perfect shots even at night, as well as improved autofocus.

In the front instead we find a dual selfie camera, with a 44-megapixel primary sensor and an 8-megapixel wide-angle lens, for a field of view of 105 degrees. With these lenses you can record selfies at 4K. Also for this camera we find several functions preloaded on the smartphone to get perfect shots, such as Dual-View Video, Slo-Mo Selfie Video, Steadiface Selfie Video and Multi-Style Portrait.

Vivo V20 Pro, the other features

The new Vivo V20 Pro smartphone can count on a 6.44-inch AMOLED Full HD+ display with 1080×2400 pixel resolution, 20:9 aspect ratio and HDR10 support. The phone is equipped with an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G processor, thus supporting 5G connectivity, and equipped with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage. The operating system is Funtouch OS 11 based on Android 10. The 4000 mAh battery also supports 33 W FlashCharge fast charging technology. The phone will be available in three color variants – Moonlight Sonata, Midnight Jazz and Sunset Melody.

Vivo V20 Pro, price and launch date

The Vivo V20 Pro smartphone was unveiled in Thailand on September 21 for pre-order, but will be available for purchase from September 30. It is priced at 14999 Thai baht, about 400 euros at the current exchange rate. At the moment there is no information about the arrival of the new Vivo-branded phone in Europe and therefore also in Italy, where the price could be higher considering the features offered.
