Vertu is definitely not one of the most famous companies in the smartphone industry. And the reason is very simple, the British company has decided to focus on a very particular market niche: the super rich. Vertu devices are priced inaccessible to most people and easily exceed five thousand euros.
Although ownership has passed into Chinese hands, smartphones and phones are still produced in Britain. Every single device is handmade and only the best materials are used: Italian leather, rubies, diamonds and sapphire crystal. For this reason, the price of the phones is very high. For the business world Vertu smartphones are real status symbols. The British company has decided to launch a smartphone with top of the range features: the new Vertu Constellation has a very large display and unique features of its kind.

Vertu Constellation mounts a SoC Snapdragon 820 supported by 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal memory, with the possibility to expand it with a Micro-SD card. The hardware compartment is top-notch and proves that the British company has not only thought about the aesthetic side, but also about the functionality of the smartphone. The screen is 5.5 inches with a 2560 x 1440 resolution, while the rear camera has a 12-megapixel sensor, very similar to the one mounted on the Google Pixel. The Vertu Constellation is completed with USB Type-C output, biometric sensor, wireless charging and a slot with two SIM cards. The device runs the Android 6.0 Marshmallow version.
The special features of the Vertu Constellation
The British company has also developed some special features: the screen is protected by a sapphire crystal, while the leather that covers the device is of the highest quality and made in Italy. On the back there is also a ruby that can be used as a key and allows access to the Concierge service. For businessmen, there is also a feature that allows you to encrypt all incoming and outgoing calls thanks to the technology developed by SIlentCircle: you will not have to fear being spied on or listened to.
Price and release date
The price is not yet certain. The previous model of Vertu Constellation was sold at a price of about five thousand euros and given the characteristics of the new version the price will most likely be higher. Sales will begin on February 10, directly in Vertu boutiques.
