Important news for Tivùsat, the satellite platform that allows you to watch over one hundred television channels free of charge on your TV set, including all those of Rai, Mediaset, La 7 and the Discovery group. From May 14, in fact, two new free high-definition channels will be available: TV8 and Cielo. These are two generalist Sky channels for digital terrestrial, already present on Tivùsat, but not in HD.

The schedule of Tivùsat is enriched by two new HD channels, bringing the total to 54. Recall that on the satellite platform are also present 7 channels in 4K, also free. On the new high-definition channels of TV8 and Cielo users will find the best of Sky’s generalist programming, including Europa League matches (when soccer resumes), some races of the MotoGP championship (resumption scheduled for this summer) and entertainment programs such as X Factor and Italia’s Got Talent. Here’s how to see the two new Sky channels on Tivùsat.

Cielo and TV8 in HD on Tivùsat: how to see them

TV8 and Cielo in HD will be available on Tivùsat channels 8 and 19. Their debut is expected on May 19 and there should be no need to re-tune the channels (which on Tivùsat is different depending on the decoder model purchased).

These are not two new channels at 100%, as they are already present in the standard version. It will only be an upgrade of the transmission quality and from December 1, 2020, the high definition version will replace the standard one.

How to see Tivùsat

We have dedicated many articles to Tivùsat and we have explained in detail what it is and how it works. We remind you that Tivùsat is a satellite platform that allows the viewing of generalist channels (and not only) for free. To all intents and purposes it is an alternative to digital terrestrial and was created to bring the television signal even in places where there is no digital terrestrial. To use Tivùsat you need a satellite dish (even the one used for Sky is fine) and a decoder or a CAM to receive the signal. The Tivùsat card is free of charge and the only costs are those for the decoder or the installation (if you do not already have a dish).
