Can you send a ten-minute vocal note like in The Giornalisti’s song on WhatsApp without holding your finger down? Yes, here’s how to do it
Many of you listening to the song by indie group The Giornalisti must have wondered how to send a ten-minute vocal on WhatsApp. How do you stay for so long with your finger pressed on the microphone icon for voice recording?
In reality there is a trick and to explain it is the same singer of the band Tommaso Paradiso, who revealed to Alessandro Cattelan, during the first episode of the new season of EPCC, how to record a long audio message without holding down with your finger. The most skilled users in using WhatsApp will have already noticed the possibility of locking the button for audio recording automatically, without the need to stay every time with your finger on the microphone icon to save the whole voice message. But many people still want to send a long voice note on WhatsApp, lasting several minutes, so instead of locking the record button, they keep their finger pressed on the screen. So here’s how to send a long voice note on WhatsApp without pressing the microphone icon on the application.
How to send a WhatsApp voice note without pressing the icon on the screen
Sending a long voice note on WhatsApp without having to hold down the microphone symbol with your finger is really simple. First we enter WhatsApp and then the chat where we want to send the audio message. Then we press as usual on the icon in the shape of a microphone. Instead of holding it down, however, this time we can safely move our finger upwards until we reach a small icon in the shape of a padlock that we will see on the right of the screen. Once we reach the padlock icon, we can remove our finger and continue talking because the audio recording will go on automatically until we press the arrow icon to send it.
And if we make a mistake while we are recording the audio, how can we delete it? It’s very simple: next to the seconds or minutes of the recording, on the left side of the screen, you’ll find a small “Delete” sign. Quite intuitive, if we click on it we delete the voice note. Simple, isn’t it? Now you too can send a voice message on WhatsApp of ten minutes without losing sensitivity on your finger. However, we do not guarantee that the contact receiving the audio will take it well.
