Oppo has launched three new technologies that allow you to quickly charge your smartphone. Here are the features and how they work
The clash between the smartphone manufacturers seems to be played on two fronts: on the one hand, an increasingly powerful and innovative photographic compartment, on the other hand, the autonomy, with batteries increasingly capacious and equipped with fast charging. An example are the new iPhone 11, which compared to previous models provide greater autonomy and support fast charging. In the field of batteries, Apple, however, is lagging behind its Android competitors, who have been offering these features to their users for a couple of years now.
Oppo, a Chinese smartphone manufacturer that for a year has also been present in Italy with its devices, is ready to launch new technologies that can optimize the charging of the smartphone. The three new charging systems should officially debut with the next Oppo smartphones, expected by the end of the year. The Oppo SuperVOOC 2.0 is definitely the most interesting one: it promises to charge the smartphone in just 25 minutes, thanks to a 65W charger (normal chargers are 15-20W). The Chinese company has also developed a 30W wireless fast charging technology, which also manages to keep the temperature of the device under control.
Oppo’s new technologies
With the release of a teaser video, Oppo announced the three new technologies dedicated to ultra fast charging that will be applied to its new Android devices: Oppo SuperVOOC 2.0 65 W, VOOC 4.0 and VOOC Flash Charge 30 W.
SuperVOOC 2.0 65 W allows smartphone charging in just 25 minutes and will already be available starting October 10 with the launch of the Chinese company’s new device, Oppo Reno Ace. VOOC Flash Charge 30 W allows a 4000 mAh battery to be fully charged in just 80 minutes with controlled temperatures that do not go beyond 40 degrees. This technology employs a novel custom wireless charging chip that can detect foreign objects and has as many as five levels of protection. The new VOOC Flash Charge wireless charging technology will soon debut on Oppo devices, but it’s not yet known when.
Finally, VOOC 4.0 for 30W fast charging via cable and will allow you to take a 4000mAh battery from 0 to 100% in 73 minutes and from 0 to 67% in just 30 minutes, while always keeping temperatures under control so as not to ruin the battery. The VOOC 4.0 charging system will be compatible with devices already using Flash Charge up to VOOC 3.0 and will be introduced on Oppo’s new devices coming in the next few weeks
