MyDrivers reveals that iPhone SE 3 could make its debut in the early months of next year and suggests some possible features
Rumors are becoming more and more insistent and almost everyone seems to be aligned on the idea that the new iPhone SE 2022 (or iPhone SE 3) could make its debut in the early months of next year. The latest to have its say on the next cheap iPhone is the Chinese site MyDrivers that seems to have pretty clear ideas about the situation of Apple.
Although the new device should not introduce any particular revolutions in the SE series, the idea of a new low cost iPhone arouses a lot of interest, especially in those who have never tried a model of the company. Moreover, beyond the aesthetic and hardware novelties, iPhone SE 3 could rely on the upcoming iOS 16 operating system, which would be currently on the launch pad. While waiting for Apple to finally unveil its cards and make its intentions for the coming year clear, we can meanwhile try to put together all the information that has been leaked so far about its next low-cost bitten apple phone.
iPhone SE 2022, what it will look like
The new version of the iPhone SE is not expected to make any significant changes to the design of its predecessor. This means that we could expect display bezels still quite pronounced and the presence of the physical Home button with Touch ID sensor, for unlocking via fingerprint. Moreover, just like on iPhone SE 2, there would be an LCD screen with 4.7-inch diagonal, with a strong inspiration to iPhone 8.
All the changes would therefore be hidden inside the smartphone’s frame. In particular, the new budget iPhone would rely on Apple’s A15 Bionic chipset (the same as the iPhone 13) with consequent improvements from a photographic point of view. The biggest news would be support for the 5G network, for ultra-fast connectivity even without WiFi.
The price of iPhone SE 3 could be the same as its predecessors, that is, about 494 euros. The trade-in service (or Trade-In) offered by Apple should also allow Android users to save a considerable amount on its purchase.
iPhone SE 2022, when it will arrive
According to reports by MyDrivers, Apple is already working to launch the new low-cost iPhone by the first half of 2022. The source claims that the test production phase has already begun, which means that mass production could be started very soon.
The Chinese site went even further by claiming that, according to rumors coming from the supply chain, the third-generation iPhone SE could debut as early as the first quarter of next year.
This rumor would be in line with TrendForce’s report, which speculated a launch event around March, exactly as it happened with the previous two generations of Apple’s budget phone.
