The House of Paper: 3 Mistakes in the Plot Hard to Notice

The Professor has thought of everything, or maybe not, something has slipped through: watch out for these 3 mistakes in The House of Paper.

The House of Paper has thrilled millions of people around the world: it is the most watched international series on the Netflix platform. The original plan to limit the series to just a few episodes was changed right after the success of the assault on the State Mint by the gang with the face covered by Dali.

The Professor, is definitely the sharpest character in the house of paper: impossible not to follow his reasoning and compelling moves for the perfect heist or to save the plan in numerous situations. It always seems like everything is under control or almost. Few viewers have realized that in the house of paper, something has escaped the writers. There were several unrealistic scenarios, obvious injustices in certain situations, and sometimes there was a lack of attention to sharpness and reasoning, which led to the emergence of real mistakes in the narrative.

The mistake in the robbery of the house of paper

At the beginning of the first part of the house of paper, the Professor, to implement his plan to steal, brings together a group of thieves. His dream is to storm the Madrid State Mint to print 2.4 billion euros. Mind you, in the perfect heist the Professor doesn’t want to steal anything, he wants to produce the bills and then take them away. This is what happens in season 1 and 2, but in part 3 and 4, the plan is different.

The Professor decides to break into the Bank of Spain and steal the gold and state secrets so he can threaten the Spanish government. Professor and comrades in the Dali-faced gang, do not want to steal or produce paper money. This completely invalidates the title of the beloved series.

The sketch of the professor in the paper house

There is a moment of absolute uncertainty experienced by the Professor. Sergio had been seen in the face by a man present in the dump who had provided the police with an identikit. The Professor, sharp as ever, manages to hack into the systems and talk to the man: threatening him, he gets him to erase the sketch. The man then leaves, deciding not to cooperate.

Now, isn’t it really unlikely that the police not only won’t try to recover the sketch, but will let the only person to have seen the gang leader’s face leave, without persuading him to give any more information?

Still on the subject of sketches, do you think it’s normal that of all the hostages freed in the first season, none of them provides a portrait of the robbers?

The electricity of the paper house

A last thought. Is it possible that with all those policemen, special agents and Spanish intelligence no one, episode after episode, thought that to stop the perfect heist of Sergio and his colleagues at the State Mint it would have been enough to disconnect the electricity to stop the machinery?

Surely to avoid us thinking about this the writers, director and actors have been good at keeping us glued making us think about something else.
