A new app called Teomirn, and designed for Microsoft HoloLens, will teach people to play the piano using holograms
Can you learn to play a piano by following a music teacher made of holograms? Apparently the answer is yes, thanks to the design of an app designed for Microsoft HoloLens. The platform forĀ virtual reality is working to revolutionize the world of hologram-related technology.
Imagine the scene. A piano, your VR visorĀ and the Teomirn app, designed specifically to integrate holograms on HoloLens. You don’t need to have ever played a piano before. Just follow the hands that will appear as holograms in front of you. In addition to real-time guidance, with Teomirn we’ll also be able to watch the “master” perform our favorite songs, which we can choose from a vast library in the application. In this way, if we already have some knowledge in the field of music, we’ll learn more quickly how to play our songs.
How it works
The app was created by Ayato Fujii and is currently looking for investors to increase its main functions. Teomirn in the future, in fact, could be expanded to other instruments, such as guitar and drums. And in general this technology, that we can define as “training” and that exploits holograms, will soon be used to teach users different actions. From cooking to editing photos and videos. In the future, holograms could also be used in the workplace and also in case of emergencies, for example to guide people to the main escape routes. For now, however, it will be possible to test this technology and try to learn how to play the piano.
