Telegram has announced the arrival of a new update, version 5.14 of the app (Android and iOS), which proposes a series of new features, among which stand out options related to surveys and the addition of quizzes, with the ability to also insert images or other files. All the new features can be used starting from the classic section dedicated to polls.
The novelties, officially presented on the official blog, come after the introduction of Dark Mode on WhatsApp and contribute to make the comparison between the two applications more heated. The idea of enriching polls comes mainly from their success over the years: this feature is loved by users and especially by those who manage groups and channels on Telegram. Among the most important new features is the possibility to make explicit the name of the person who votes in a Poll and its preference. In addition, there is the birth of the @QuizBot designed for the most complex games.

Polls were introduced on Telegram in 2018 and since then have been a success among the administrators of channels and groups, but also among individual users who enjoy interacting by giving their feedback. Now polls have three new features: the ability to know the authors of votes and their preferences, access to multiple preferences and the ability to make real quizzes. Whoever creates the poll can choose to keep the vote anonymous or make it explicit, as well as insert the possibility of giving more than one answer. After constructing the question and answers, you post the poll to the group and wait for feedback.
How do Quizzes work on Telegram?
Those who want to post a Quiz will still have to go through the Polls page. The difference is that before posting it, you need to select the correct answer so that people can immediately get visual feedback after making their choice, thus understanding whether they guessed right or not. In addition to these new features, Telegram is also introducing the @QuizBot, dedicated to those who like to insert images or other media files within their question-and-answer games.
