TCL has unveiled two new wireless headset models at an extremely low price: here are their specs
There are plenty of wireless headsets on the market, but few can hold a candle to the value for money of TCL’s new wireless headsets, the MOVEAUDIO S108 and S180. Despite the tempting list price, the two magically manage to offer an equipment almost unknown to the competition.
The new wireless headphones of TCL have excellent features in relation to the selling price. Both, however, have IP54 and IPX4 certifications that provide protection against dust and liquids, understood as splashes of modest magnitude. You can’t submerge them in water, to be clear, but they are protected against sweat or rainwater, which is in fact the only thing that matters in light of their use, as well as an essential equipment during sports activities. Here’s the full feature overview of the new TCL MOVEAUDIO S108 and S180.
How the new TCL headsets are made
The cheaper model of the two, TCL MOVEAUDIO S108, possess ENC technology, not to be confused with the more “valuable” (and expensive) ANC. Thanks to ENC, the TCL MOVEAUDIO S108 can isolate the voice of the caller from ambient noise, so as to transfer to the interlocutor the first and not the second. In other words, the promise is that with S108 you can talk anywhere, even in the noisiest environments, transferring to the interlocutor only our voice.
In terms of connectivity, the TCL MOVEAUDIO S108 have Bluetooth 5.0, which guarantees an almost instantaneous transmission between the smartphone or any other device with Bluetooth that plays something and the wireless headphones, to avoid annoying delays between what the screen displays and what instead “feels” the ear. The built-in battery in the earphones is capable of offering up to 6 hours of listening time, while also considering the charging case with USB-C you get a total autonomy of about 20 hours.
The most equipped but still economical model TCL MOVEAUDIO S180 has, in addition to the features already listed for the S108, dynamic 10mm transducers and especially active ANC noise cancellation, which allows you to isolate yourself from noisy environments while listening to music or watching a movie and TV Series. There’s also a Transparency mode, which, if needed, can report and amplify surrounding noises in the headphones – a useful feature, for example, when talking to someone without having to remove the earphones.
In this regard, it’s worth mentioning the Smart Wearing Detection feature, which stops listening the moment you remove one of the headphones from your ear. Compared to the cheaper model, the TCL MOVEAUDIO S180 also improves the battery life: it goes from the maximum 6 hours of the headphones alone (5 hours with ANC on) to the total 30 hours offered by the combination with the charging case (28 hours with ANC on).
How much do the new TCL headphones cost
As mentioned above, the new TCL wireless headphones are extremely cheap. They range from the £29.99 needed for TCL MOVEAUDIO S108 in Pearl White coloring to £59.99 for TCL MOVEAUDIO S180, with the latter also available in Ore Black coloring.
