Officially presented Redmi Note 8 and Redmi Note 8 Pro: four cameras with 48 and 64 Megapixel sensors. Coming to Italy in the coming months
Redmi Note 8 and Redmi Note 8 Pro are official: after the many rumors of the previous days that have anticipated all the main features of the two devices, finally the Chinese company has removed the veil to its two new smartphones. As anticipated in recent weeks, these are two mid-range devices with a very interesting technical card: they will have four cameras and the Pro model will have a 64-megapixel main sensor, a real novelty for the mobile world.
It has only been eight months since the launch of the Redmi Note 7, a smartphone that has sold over 20 million copies worldwide, but the Chinese company has not wanted to lull on the goal achieved and has worked to improve the features of what is one of its most famous devices. In the Redmi Note 8 we find an even more extreme design, with thinner bezels that allow the screen to be larger. In the back, the four cameras are positioned vertically in the upper left corner.
The presentation of the Redmi Note 8 and Note 8 Pro also served to dispel the last doubts about the features of the two devices. The Note 8 mounts a Snapdragon 665 chipset, while the Pro model has a MediaTek Helio G90T processor designed for the gaming world. The Redmi Note 8 Pro, in fact, is a device designed for gaming lovers who do not want to spend an exorbitant amount of money for the gaming smartphone.
Redmi Note 8: the technical sheet
Thinner frames to make the smartphone even more compact. This is one of the goals that guided Redmi engineers in the development of the Note 8. The base model of the new Chinese smartphone mounts a 6.3-inch display with FullHD+ resolution and a screen-to-shell ratio of just over 90 percent. Under the display is the Snapdragon 665 with 4-6GB of RAM and 64-128GB of internal storage.
Very interesting is the rear camera compartment. There are no less than four cameras: the main one is 48 Megapixels, while the secondary ones are 8 Megapixels (wide-angle with 120-degree viewing angle), 2 Megapixels for macro and another 2 Megapixels for depth of field. It lacks a telephoto lens for optical zoom. The front-facing camera is 13 Megapixels.
The battery is 4000mAh with support for fast charging up to 18W (a full charge takes just under two hours).
The Redmi Note 8 Pro
Slightly larger screen than the base model and most importantly a 64 Megapixel camera. These are the biggest differences of the Redmi Note 8 Pro compared to its smaller brother. The screen is 6.53 inches with FullHD+ resolution and a 91.4 percent body-to-shield ratio. On board is the Helio G90T chipset designed specifically for gaming. Supporting 6-8GB of RAM and 64-128GB of internal storage.
Also on the Redmi Note 8 Pro we find four cameras, but the main sensor is 64 megapixels. The other three lenses are the same as the regular version: 8-megapixel wide-angle lens, 2-megapixel ToF sensor and another 2-megapixel sensor for macros. The front lens is 20 Megapixel and will have artificial intelligence support for brighter images.
A 4500mAh battery with support for 25W charging. The fingerprint sensor is integrated in the photo module. For video game lovers, there is also a version dedicated to World of Warcraft.
