The new Redmi Note 10 smartphone series has arrived: the official features of the top camera smartphones at a cheap price, especially the unexpected 5G variant
The new Redmi Note 10 series is official. The Chinese company launched the four new models Redmi Note 10, Redmi Note 10S, Redmi Note 10 Pro and Redmi Note 10 5G on March 4, unveiling their features and price. The new mid-range smartphones offer great features at low prices and even a really affordable 5G variant.
The heirs to the Redmi Note 9 series are equipped with a Super AMOLED FHD+ screen, with 120 Hz refresh rate the Pro model. The design features smooth lines, with a thin bezel surrounding the screen and a notch for the front camera right in the middle of the display at the top. The camera compartment on the back is quad configuration for Redmi Note 10, 10S and 10 Pro, with 48-megapixel, 64-megapixel and 108-megapixel main sensors respectively. The 5G variant arrived as a surprise during the Chinese company’s March 4 announcement and is the first smartphone equipped with the newly announced MediaTek Dimensity 700 processor. The technical characteristics of the 10 5G are very similar to those of the Redmi Note 10, the basic version of the new series, and the camera compartment is a triple configuration with a 48-megapixel main sensor: a choice probably dictated by the low price, which starts at $199, about 165 euros. We just have to wait for these smartphones to arrive in Italy.
Redmi Note 10: official features and price
The base model of the new Redmi Note 10 series will be equipped with a 6.43-inch Super AMOLED display and Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The SoC is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 678 supported by 4GB of RAM and two sizes of storage space to choose from 64GB and 128GB, expandable with microSD. The smartphone supports 4G connectivity and the MIUI 12 interface based on Android 11.
As for the camera compartment on the back, the configuration is four sensors: 48-megapixel main, an 8-megapixel ultra wide-angle secondary, 2-megapixel macro and a depth sensor also 2-megapixel. The front camera in the notch instead is 13 megapixels. The autonomy is guaranteed by a 5000 mAh battery with 33W fast charging.
The Redmi Note 10 is available in the three colors Onyx Gray, Pebble White and Lake Green priced at about 165 euros for the version with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage, and about 190 euros with 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage.
Redmi Note 10 S: official features and price
With the Redmi Note 10 S you go up a level and also in price. The screen is still a 6.43-inch Super AMOLED with Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The processor is a MediaTek Helio G95 which supports 4G connectivity. This smartphone is available with two different RAM sizes, 6 or 8 GB, and expandable internal memory of 64 or 128 GB.
The camera compartment on the back is equipped with a 64-megapixel main sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra wide-angle secondary, 2-megapixel macro and 2-megapixel depth sensor. The front-facing camera, on the other hand, has a 13-megapixel sensor. The battery is 5000 mAh, again with 33W fast charging. The operating system is Android 11 with MIUI 12 interface.
The Redmi Note 10 S is available in Ocean Blue, Onyx Grey and Pebble White colorways. The price is about 190 euros for the 6/64 GB version, 206 euros for the 6/128 GB version and 231 euros for 8/128 GB.
Redmi Note 10 Pro: official features and price
The top of the range of the new series of Chinese smartphones is the Redmi Note 10 Pro. The screen is still a 6.67-inch Super AMOLED with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 and 120 Hz refresh rate. The processor is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 732G, RAM available in 6 and 8 GB and storage space of 64 and 128 GB, expandable with microSD. The interface is MIUI 12 based on Android 11.
Making the real difference is the camera compartment on the back, with a 108-megapixel Samsung HM2 main sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra wide-angle lens, 5-megapixel macro and 2-megapixel depth sensor. The front-facing camera, on the other hand, has a 16-megapixel sensor. The battery is 5020 mAh with fast charging at 33 W.
The Redmi Note 10 Pro is available in Gradient Bronze, Glacier Blue and Onyx Grey colors, while the price starts dia 231 euros for the 6/64 GB version, 248 euros for the 6/128 GB version and 273euro for the 8/128 GB version.
Redmi Note 10 5G: official features and price
In the offer of the new series of mid-range smartphones could not miss a version with 5G connectivity: the Redmi Note 10 5G. The phone is equipped with a newly launched MediaTek Dimensity 700 processor that supports 5G, with 4 GB of RAM and internal memory of 64 or 128 GB, always expandable with microSD. The screen is 6.5 inches with adaptive 90 Hz refresh rate, protected by a Corning Gorilla Glass 3.
The camera compartment is triple configuration, with 48-megapixel main sensor, 2-megapixel macro and 2-megapixel depth sensor. The front camera on the other hand is 8-megapixel. The battery is 5000 mAh with 18 W fast charging.
The new Redmi Note 10 5G is available in Chrome Silver, Graphite Grey, Nightime Blue and Aurora Green colors. The Chinese company chooses to equip with 5G connectivity the cheapest version of the smartphone, so it can keep the price down: the 4/64 GB version starts at 165 euros, while the 4/128 GB version starts at 190 euros.
