Xiaomi is preparing to launch the next smartphone in the Redmi series: coming Redmi 9 Power and will have a quadruple camera
Few days are missing for the official debut of the new Redmi 9 Power, scheduled for December 17, but a few days a new revelation reveals what will be its equipment. To characterize the smartphone Xiaomi will be a quadruple camera, embedded in the body that guards the rear side.
The news, or rather the render of the new phone of the Chinese company, was shared online by the famous tipster Ishan Agarwal through the profile of 91mobiles, one of the most popular Indian leak sites in terms of technology and gadgets that, often, has correctly anticipated the timing and features of many devices launched on the market. According to rumors circulated on the internet already in recent weeks, Redmi 9 Power should inherit a substantial part of the technical features of the model launched in China only a short time ago, namely the Redmi Note 9 4G, with a handful of non-substantial changes.
Redmi 9 Power, how will the quad camera
The leaked image perfectly shows the block dedicated to the camera, the four lenses and the LED flash embedded in the chassis. Although we do not yet have certain information on the exact count of megapixels of the quad-cam of Redmi 9 Power, for sure – since the source is Xiaomi itself – it is possible to confirm that the primary sensor will be 48 megapixels, thus tracing the choice made for the almost twin model.
Redmi 9 Power, the probable technical characteristics
According to rumors on the network, the smartphone should be able to count on a hardware similar to the Redmi Note 9 4G, in addition to the texture of the rear panel that is seen in the render. Available in two versions, with 64GB or 12GB storage, the upcoming Redmi 9 Power could count on the same amount of RAM, set at 4GB.
To remain unchanged, then, should be the 6.53-inch fullHD+ screen, the 8MP front-facing camera teardrop housing in the display, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 processor and the battery, with a 6000mAh capacity, installed on the Redmi Note series specimens. The same goes for the operating system, most likely Android 10 with MIUI 12.
Redmi 9 Power and Redmi Note 9 4G, history of a rebranding?
It is not an unknown practice at Xiaomi, that of rebranding, or relaunching extremely similar models with different names, thus going to emphasize the presence of differences even if not of considerable magnitude. The most recent case is that of the Indian version of the Redmi 9, deprived of one of the rear lenses and renamed Redmi 9C before bringing it back on the market.
In the meantime, on the list of supported devices compiled by Google Play the Redmi 9 Power has already made its appearance, with a model code M2010J19SI, bringing to light a certain similarity with that of its almost alter ego, Redmi 9 4G, present with the number M2010J19SC. The same goes for the codename also present on the same list, where both devices are associated with the term “lime”.
