Mettendo in pratica alcune preziose azioni. Quali? To find out, follow this guide and your PC’s performance will return to its former glory.

Delete unnecessary apps and programs

First thing we need to do is delete unnecessary apps and programs. This applies to computers running on both Microsoft and Apple operating systems. Keeping a pc clear of heavy and unnecessary files lightens the computer considerably and increases its performance. Software, as you know, is constantly being updated. Updates that not only increase the size of the app, but also clog your pc’s memory with temporary files of futile utility. The question is: why keep them if you don’t use them? Delete them. In the Windows search menu, type “Apps and Features”, locate the software you want to delete and remove it.

Delete Unnecessary Apps and Programs: Mac

Also on macOS with a few simple steps you can relieve your device of unnecessary software and improve its performance. Open the Launchpad and locate the application you want to delete. Done? At this point, after selecting it, press and hold for a few seconds until you see the button that gives you the option to delete it. And that’s it.

Delete Junk Files

We come to the second and crucial point: get rid of junk files. Apps or programs, for some reasons, continuously accumulate a number of files. Items that can and, most importantly, must be deleted. This category includes all temporary files generated by programs and the operating system itself – for example, during updates – or files left over from software that was not deleted properly. Come eliminarli?

Do you use Mozilla Firefox? Click on “History” and then “Clear History”.

Keep your pc tidy

Another little-known tip is to keep your computer tidy. If your computer is slowing down, or performing poorly, it’s likely that unnecessary apps and programs are the reason. Even the files accumulated over time can affect: word documents, PDFs, images, videos and more. A tidy pc has numerous benefits. Not only does it help to find a file quickly, but also to understand which documents we can keep and which ones we can delete. First piece of advice: divide the files by their subject area and put each one in its own folder. The folders then should not be left here and there on the computer, but kept within certain sections. Use the Chinese box technique. And if you want you can always store the files online.

Clean your keyboard and screen

We close with a more practical advice: keep your PC clean. And we’re not referring, as in the previous slides, to the files, but to the keyboard, the screen and even the cooling fans. Let’s start with the keyboard. The best way to get rid of dust and dirt is to detach it and turn it upside down. When this is not possible, you can use compressed air. With caution though: too much pressure can damage the internal circuits. Let’s move on to the screen: napkins, handkerchiefs and various fabrics should be banned. They scratch the display. The golden rule is to use microfiber cloths. Let’s close with the fans. Over time, the air passage can be obstructed by dust accumulating on the external grilles. Remove it.
