We have a date, albeit unofficial, on when the price of the PlayStation 5 will be announced: July 13. To say so is the insider Roberto Serrano on Twitter, responding to a tweet posted by Jeff Grubb (another insider) in which there was a list of all the events of July. The news, logically, is to be taken with the benefit of the doubt until it will be the same Sony to make official the date. The only thing that is certain is that the Japanese company will hold an event in July on the PS5, although it is not known on what topic.
In fact, until there is the official launch on the market, Sony will keep up the attention on the new console with an event each month dedicated to the last features still remained hidden: price, release date and any new exclusive games. On the fact that July is the month chosen for the announcement of the price of PS5 there are still many doubts: previous rumors spoke of August. Sony, however, must hurry to reveal the price: the chains of electronic products must give way to pre-orders and need to know how much the new console will cost.
What will be the price of PS5
After the event held in June in which Sony has unveiled the first games and the design of the PS5, now to hold bench is the theme of the price of the PlayStation 5. In recent weeks have emerged several leaks from various e-commerce sites and chains that sell electronic products, but all very different from each other. They range from a minimum of 499 euros (the most likely price) up to over 600 euros. It’s unlikely that the PS5 will cost so much, but we must also think about the fact that the internal components have a rather high list price.
The other argument concerns the price of the PlayStation 5 Digital Edition, the version without Blu-Ray player and that only uses digital copies of video games. In this case, the price could be less than 450 euros.
When will the PlayStation 5 be released
In addition to the price, the event organized by Sony in July should also confirm the release date. So far, it is only known that it will be released for the 2020 Christmas vacations, but it is not known exactly which day. It is rumored that it could be on a day between November 16 and 20, just before Black Friday 2020.
