The PlayStation Network (PSN) is down since this evening and the problem affects the whole World: there are thousands of reports sent by users on the site downdetector.com and on Twitter. Players are unable to access their account and it is impossible to start any video game.
The problem has also been reported by Sony itself on the PSN website. On the network status page of the PlayStation Network, the message “You may be experiencing difficulty signing in or creating an account with PlayStation™Network. Per il momento Sony non ha fornito spiegazioni sul perché il PSN è down e non permette l’accesso a nessun giocatore. Il problema, però, sembra essere abbastanza grave dato che riguarda tutto il Mondo e non solamente gli utenti italiani. È molto probabile che ci siano problemi nei server che ospitano il PlayStation Network e che in questo momento risultano inaccessibili. For players is certainly not a novelty: already last month the PSN went down for “fault” of Fifa 19: the number of users who had connected to download the demo game was so high as to send KO servers of the service. But even in this case within a few minutes the problem was solved. All we have to do now is wait for Sony’s technicians to fix the glitch.
UPDATE: the problem was completely solved around 23:00.
