Sony could unveil this evening July 13 the price and release date of the PlayStation 5 on its official blog
A lightning bolt: this evening (July 13, 2020 ed.) Sony could announce the price and release date of the PlayStation 5 through a post on its official blog. The rumor comes from the Twitter user Marlon Gaming Nation that had already been noted in previous weeks for similar news about the console Sony. Logically, this anticipation should be taken with due caution: until there is an official announcement by Sony we are in the field of assumptions.
The Japanese company has never said when it will reveal the price of the console and unlikely to do so through a post on its official blog. On the other hand, Sony has already confirmed that until the PS5 comes out, it will hold a monthly streaming event to announce new features and new news about the console. And among this information is definitely the price and release date. It seems unlikely that the announcement will be made via an anonymous post on the official blog dedicated to the console.
When will the PlayStation 5 price be announced
According to the Twitter account, the Japanese company is expected to announce the price and release date of the PlayStation 5 this evening at 9:30 pm. This should be done via an article on the console’s official blog. A somewhat anonymous choice, especially after the success of the last live streaming event followed by millions of fans where Sony first showed the upcoming titles for the PS5 and then the design of the console.
The most logical choice would be to organize a second streaming event, with the presentation of new titles (even without any significant exclusive) and at the end the announcement of the price and release date of the PS5. We’ll see what Sony will choose to do.
The price and release date of the PlayStation 5
While waiting for official news, the price and release date of the PlayStation 5 continue to hold bench. For more than a month now there is nothing else to talk about and many have tried to make assumptions. The most likely is that the PS5 costs about 500 euros, while the Digital Edition between 50 and 100 euros less. As for the date of release on the market come to the rescue two factors: the Black Friday 2020, set for November 27, and the release of some video games set for mid-November and that will also be available for next-gen consoles. So it is very likely that the PS5 will arrive between the second and third week of November.
