Oppo and Vivo will launch two high-end tablets

Pandemic has restored luster to the Android tablet segment, in which Vivo and Oppo should soon enter with two high-performance tablets

Before the arrival of Realme Pad, the BBK Electronics group did not even have a tablet in its list. A curious lack in light of the fact that the brands owned are many and “weight”: Oppo, OnePlus, Realme and Vivo. Then the product of Realme, which has also arrived in Italy, has filled the gap in the range.

But there would be other news in the pipeline, not so much by Realme as the other brands that populate the orbit of the BBK group. According to rumors in fact both Vivo and Oppo are ready to launch two high-end Android tablets, to be present in a segment to which the pandemic seems to have given a second youth. In the past, the arrival of a Vivo-branded tablet seemed to be set for January 2021, but history tells us that didn’t happen. A few months later, in August, the vice president of Vivo confirmed the project saying however that it would arrive on the market in the first half of 2022, that’s why the rumors are already active.

Vivo Pad, what it looks like

According to the information shared by Chinese informant Digital Chat Station, Vivo has finalized the project of an Android tablet equipped by the Snapdragon 870, Qualcomm’s high-performance chip that also characterizes the excellent Xiaomi Pad 5, to be clear.

The Vivo tablet could be called Vivo Pad, but it’s a hypothesis that at the moment is not supported by any precise indication, if not by the registration of the trademark at the European Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) which took place in the summer. On the TUV Rheinland portal, however, a Vivo device was spotted with an 8,040 mAh battery, which being way too much for a smartphone is thought to be related to the Vivo Pad.

For the rest there are no other rumors on the account of the Vivo tablet, but it can not be excluded that it may take some features of the recent Realme Pad: the synergies between members of the same group are essential, especially at a time like this that is made particularly difficult by the crisis of the chips, so if the tablet Realme and Vivo have some common features there would be no surprise.

Oppo Pad, what it looks like

The Vivo Pad and the tablet rumored to be in the works at Oppo could share a lot of features. Vivo and Oppo, in fact, produce similar products in terms of market positioning, while Realme traditionally focuses more on value for money. It is therefore easier to imagine synergies between Oppo and Vivo rather than between the latter and Realme.

According to the latest rumors, the Oppo tablet will once again feature the Snapdragon 870 chip along with 6GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, although this configuration could be one of several that will come to the list. High-end screen for Oppo’s tablet, an 11-inch diagonal LCD with 2,560 x 1,600 pixel resolution and above all 120 Hz refresh rate.

What is currently known as the Oppo Pad should have a 13 MP rear camera, an 8 MP front camera and an 8,080 mAh battery, for a price that in China should settle around the equivalent of 300 euros.
