Banking group Banca Sella has announced the birth of the first open banking platform in our country, a solution designed for companies and startups
Most of us have a conception of banks as closed and conservative organizations. In order to change this image in recent times, most banking institutions are taking advantage of new technologies to create services that are more and more customer-friendly. Without forgetting security.
On this wavelength is also the Banca Sella Group. The bank is, in fact, focusing on open innovation to revolutionize part of its current services. It is no coincidence that the bank has announced the birth of the first open banking platform in Italy and among the first at the international level. The real novelty is that the platform will be made available to other parties through the use of the group’s Application Programming Interfaces (APIs), i.e. integration libraries. Thanks to this, developers will be able to integrate different applications and services to offer to various customers.
The purpose of the project
The main objective explain from Banca Sella is to: “allow companies and startups to access services and functions that have so far only been accessible by the bank, integrating the banking operations they need directly into their own platforms and into the services they offer to customers”. The bank also stated that the first services made available to customers in this new and innovative method will cover account balances, movement lists and transfer lists. Although, Banca Sella spokespersons have assured that in the coming months the services will be further expanded. This solution designed by Banca Sella will allow startups and companies to be more independent in the management of their payment services. To start working on the banking group’s API, all you need to do is connect to the specific site put online by Banca Sella itself.
