It won’t be a smartphone to mark Nokia’s return but a simple cell phone. The device will cost just $26 and will be launched during early 2017

Nokia is back on the market. Officially. The Finnish manufacturer has just unveiled its first new cell phone. The device was made in collaboration with HMD Global and will have a 2.4-inch screen, a keyboard and even FM radio.

Not a smartphone, but an old-fashioned cell phone. Nokia 150, this is the name of the device, recalls, in fact, some of the first cell phones made by the company of Espoo. Phones that, before the advent of smartphones, had no rivals. Nokia for several years has been, in fact, a symbol of reliability: its products were virtually indestructible. Then came the iPhone and everything changed. The partnership with Microsoft was useless, the Finnish manufacturer was eventually forced to withdraw. With this new device Nokia therefore reappears on the scene, although the event that will mark the great return will undoubtedly be the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.

Waiting to unveil its first smartphone after almost a year of inactivity, Nokia presents the Nokia 150, a device that serves mainly to call and send some SMS. Let’s now take a look at the technical features of the cell phone. Regarding the multimedia features, the Nokia 150, in addition to FM radio, also has a basic camera (like the first second generation phones) and an MP3 player. The device also integrates a Bluetooth connection and a MicroSD slot. The real strength, however, is the battery that in stand-by is able to last up to a month. Other than smartphone. And there is also a dual-sim version. For those interested, the Nokia 150 will go on sale for $26 (about 25 euros) starting in early 2017 and will be available in Asia, Europe and the Middle East.
