Milan Games Week 2019: the most anticipated games and events

The ninth edition of Milan Games Week will kick off on September 27. Also this year many presentations and a pavilion dedicated to e-sports

Everything is ready for the ninth edition of Milan Games Week. The most eagerly awaited video game event for passionate Italian gamers will open its doors on Friday, September 27 at the Fiera di Milano Rho. An extraordinary event where, until Sunday, September 29, it will be possible to attend the presentation of 55 titles, including 22 premieres for Italy.

A unique opportunity to meet personalities and gurus of the sector, follow the events dedicated to esport, a phenomenon to which this year an entire pavilion has been dedicated and where it will be possible to follow live national and international tournaments in the areas set up by ESL and PG Esports. Not only gaming: during the Milan event there will also be space for music, with live concerts by Elodie, Marracash, Didy and Mamacita on September 27th, Capo Plaza on September 28th and Mondo Marcio with Chadia Rodriguez on September 29th.

At the Milanese kermesse, undoubtedly one of the most important in Europe, it will be possible to admire for the first time in our country as many as 22 games: Doom Eternal (Bethesda), Dragon Quest XI S Definitive Edition (Nintendo), Dreams (Sony), FIFA 20 (Electronic Arts), Final Fantasy VII Remake (Square Enix), GRID (Koch Media), Just Dance 2020 (Ubisoft), Layton’s Mystery Journey: Katrielle and the Millionaire’s Conspiracy (Nintendo), Luigi’s Mansion 3 (Nintendo), Mario & Sonic at the 2020 Olympic Games (Nintendo), Marvel’s Avengers (Square Enix), Marvel’s Iron Man VR (Sony), MediEvil (Sony), NiOh 2 (Sony), Ori and the Blind Forest Definitive Edition (Nintendo), Pandemic (Nintendo), Pokémon Sword and Shield (Nintendo), The Witcher 3: Complete Edition (Nintendo) and, finally, Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Breakpoint (Ubisoft).

Milan Games Week 2019: the dedicated areas

CD Projekt RED and Bandai Namco Entertainment Italia have announced the presence of the long-awaited role-playing game Cyberpunk 2077 to which an entire stand has been dedicated and where it will be possible to discover a preview of all the peculiarities of the game. The spotlight will also be on Death Stranding, the new game created by Hideo Kojima, creator of the famous Metal Gear series, in the area dedicated to the world of PlayStation where it will also be possible to watch a played demo of Watch Dogs Legion.

Milan Games Week 2019: esports

True digital arenas will be available to the greatest esports champions, who will compete in a series of tournaments during the three days of Milan Games Week 2019. League of Legends, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Supercell, Clash Royale, but also the last qualifying stage of the Mercedes-Benz GT Sport e-Cup, the ever-present Fortnite with Battle Royale and the Project Cars 2 competition.

In addition, exclusively Italian, the Champions Virtual League arrives for the first time at Milan Games Week, a now historic competition where the strongest and most valid teams in Italy will face each other for the conquest of the title of champions. Finally, space also to the myth of Call of Duty with the Call of Duty Premier CUP, the competition that sees the top Italian players compete in the Decerto mode.
