As expected, support for mixed reality will be included in Windows 10 Creators Update. Great expectations also for the first visors for mixed reality
Virtual reality and augmented reality are the future of technology, as demonstrated by the latest innovations introduced by major hi-tech manufacturers. Novelties that involve different devices, from smartphones to classic computers.
Microsoft, for example, is ready to launch a support for mixed reality in Windows 10, a technology that combines virtual and augmented reality. The American company has in fact confirmed that it will include the MR feature in Creators Update, the important update that will be released on April 11 and that will be strongly oriented towards 3D creativity. All according to script in short. It’s not news that Redmond was planning to include support for mixed reality in its operating system. However, it was not known for sure if it would be introduced with the Creators Update.
The MR update will be important especially for developers
The support for mixed reality, at least in the immediate future, will mainly interest programmers, who will be able to start developing content for Microsoft’s VR/AR platform. Users, to take advantage of the new virtual technology, will have to wait at least until next summer, that is, when will be launched the first visors compatible with MR technology and that Microsoft has created in partnership with some companies, including Acer.
The functionality for mixed reality confirms the path taken by Microsoft towards the virtual sector. Path that will involve several devices, including especially the Xbox Project Scorpio, the new console that, according to the latest rumors, Microsoft will present in May.
