The Mi 9 Pro 5G will be the new smartphone in the Mi 9 family. On board the Snapdragon 855+ with 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of internal storage
Not only Mi 9 Lite. Xiaomi is ready to expand the range of the Mi 9 with a new device: the Mi 9 Pro 5G. If in recent days had appeared online only rumors, now comes the official confirmation directly from the Chinese company: the smartphone will be presented on September 24 along with the Mi Mix 5G. The Mi 9 Pro 5G will be a simple upgrade of the Mi 9. It will feature a new processor (Snapdragon 855+ which guarantees slightly higher performance), and a 5G router to support the super fast network. The Mi Mix 5 G, on the other hand, will be an innovative smartphone, in every way. The Mi Mix series has always been one where Xiaomi has tried to innovate device design, such as last year when it used the slider opening. For the fourth version of its flagship smartphone we have to expect at least the camera hidden inside the shell.
Technical features Mi 9 Pro
The Mi 9 Pro is an update of the base model to make it competitive in a sector, that of top-of-the-line smartphones, which now changes every two to three months. On board we will find the new Snapdragon 855+ chipset with 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of internal storage. Hardware architecture to be the envy of a mid-range computer. The screen and design, however, will be virtually identical to those of the Mi 9 normal: 6.39-inch display with FullHD + resolution and teardrop notch where the front camera will be integrated from 32 Megapixel.
On the photographic front you should not expect big news. The only surprise could come from the main photo sensor: Xiaomi could integrate the 64-megapixel lens already seen on the Redmi Note 8 Pro.
New, however, with regard to the capacity of the battery that comes up to 4,000mAh and guarantees a battery life of at least 24 hours. There is also support for ultrafast wireless charging at 30W.
When the Mi 9 Pro comes out
The smartphone will be presented on September 24 at an event organized in China. It is very likely that the device will arrive immediately in China, while for the Italian market we will have to wait a little longer. It will be very interesting to see how Xiaomi will decide to position the smartphone on the market, given the presence of many similar devices among them (Mi 9, Mi 9T Pro, Mi 9 Pro). As for the price, it is likely to cost more than 400 euros.
