The Xiaomi Mi 11 range is now complete and it’s really rich: here are the technical details of all models to understand which one to choose.
Mi 11 Lite and Mi 11 Lite 5G and Mi 11i: these are the three new smartphones produced by Xiaomi that go to close the circle of the M 11 series. With so many alternatives, suitable for all needs, the Chinese manufacturer has chosen to take the field once again with the intent – and all the cards in order – to challenge the biggest names in the industry.
The journey of the Mi 11 series started with the basic version, which takes its name from the range in question, arrived in Italy at the beginning of February. With a particularly promising base equipment, above all the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC and a 108MP Samsung main photo sensor, the model immediately attracted the attention of the public, thanks also to a lower price compared to direct competitors with similar equipment. This was then joined by the Ultra version, a top of the line such that it challenged the Samsung S21 Ultra. With these three new models, Xiaomi aims at different market segments, with proposals starting from just under 300 euros to go up, without wanting to give up high-level technical features.
Mi 11i, technical characteristics
Recreates, at least in part, the technical equipment of the basic model of the series but, thanks to some unique details, Mi 11i manages to stand out in the comparison without problems. The strong point of this smartphone, just like Mi 11, is the already mentioned processor: Snapdragon 888. Added to this is a flat Samsung E4 Amoled display (unlike the one with curved edges of Mi 11), with 6.67-inch diagonal, HDR10+ support and variable refresh rate up to 120 Hz; for touch, however, we get 350 Hz sampling rate.
Mi 11i, camera and other details
On the back side is a camera with triple sensors. It starts with the 108MP main one, equipped with Dual Native ISO technology, and continues with an 8MP ultra wide-angle lens with 119° field angle and, lastly, a 5MP tele/macro lens. Particularly interesting is the video shooting, up to 8K, and the Ultra Night Video mode.
All this is powered by a 4520 mAh battery, with support for 33 W fast charging thanks to the included charger. Elegant, thanks has the body made of glass and 7.8 mm thick, is equipped with a side fingerprint sensor and dual speakers, with support for Dolby Atmos technology.
Mi 11 Lite and Lite 5G, all the features
They seem to be just two variations on the same theme, but they are not. In fact, besides connectivity, Mi 11 Lite and Lite 5G know how to stand out thanks to a few key features. Among the common points are the display, for both a 6.55-inch flat Amoled, 10-bit TrueColor, variable refresh rate up to 90Hz and touch at 240Hz. Powering both models is a 4250 mAh battery, again with 33W fast charging through the charger in the box.
The rear camera is also the same, with 64MP main sensor, 8MP ultra wide angle lens and 5MP telephoto/macro lens. With the dual speaker, then, we conclude the main similarities between the two smartphones, so what’s different?
First point is the processor: it goes from Snapdragon 732G (8 nm) for Mi 11 Lite to Snapdragon 780G (5 nm) for Mi 11 Lite 5G. Second, however, is the front camera; for selfies, the Mi 11 Lite model can count on a 16MP sensor, while the smartphone with 5G connectivity has a cam with a more powerful sensor, 20MP. Last difference, among the most sensitive ones, the GPU: we talk about Adreno 618 for Mi 11 Lite and Adreno 642 for its 5G counterpart.
Mi 11 Lite 5G and Mi 11i, launch prices
As for prices for the Italian market, Xiaomi has not yet released official details. The only references provided are those for Europe, based on some of the RAM/storage space combinations with which the three smartphones will be launched.
