Those who have started the update process may have already encountered this problem that seems to block the Mac for several hours. As posted on the macrumors.com forum, starting yesterday many users have been dealing with a rather annoying mishap. How to solve the problem

Not long after the report made by the owners of Mac computers that, again on macrumors.com, suddenly appeared the solution. And it’s much simpler than you might imagine. Many readers have stated that if the screen remains frozen for more than half an hour, just restart in forced mode the Mac by holding down the power button until the monitor turns off. After doing this, you can turn on the computer again and it will automatically resume the interrupted configuration and complete it successfully.

macOS Catalina: stop 32-bit apps

The new operating system for desktop and laptop PCs also no longer supports 32-bit applications, the last software capable of supporting this type of technology now destined to become obsolete is macOS Mojave. There are, unfortunately, no viable alternatives and all such apps must be updated or removed, but it shouldn’t be difficult to find similar 64-bit apps capable of performing the same function.
