John Fitzgerald Kennedy was the 35th president of the United States, killed in Dallas in an assassination attempt on November 22, 1963. Director Oliver Stone has decided to celebrate him by proposing a four-episode mini-series on the Kennedy assassination, entitled JFK: Destiny betrayed.
To this day, Kennedy’s death is still a controversial historical event, so much so that there are many conspiracy theories that point to different assassins. On that Monday in 1963, the 35th president was shot in the head during a car parade in Dallas, Texas. Director Stone traces Kennedy’s political activity prior to the assassination, analyzing and recounting the story also through new evidence and documents, which were recently desecreted. A way to remember J. F. Kennedy and to interpret a historical event that remains among the most controversial of the twentieth century.
Kennedy assassination mini-series: what it’s about
The mini-series signed by director Oliver Stone is called JFK: Destiny betrayed, a docu-series that traces the early formation of the worldview of what was President Kennedy’s foreign policy.
From his travels in Vietnam as a senator, to his support of nascent democracies in Africa and his anti-colonial positions that led him to stand in opposition to the Eisenhower administration, the CIA and even the Pentagon.
Stone also gives viewers a behind-the-scenes look at what happened in the immediate aftermath of the assassination: from his brother Robert Kennedy’s initial suspicions to his views on the official Warren Commission investigation.All of this is rigorously based on forensic and ballistic evidence, as well as newly-decrypted documents, to provide an objective reconstruction of what happened.
Kennedy Murder Mini-Series: The Cast
The narrating voices of the Kennedy murder mini-series are Whoopi Goldberg and Donald Sutherland, while subtitles will be available for the Italian version. The two famous actors will guide viewers on a journey through evidence from the time and documents, which will be presented by a panel of forensic scientists, doctors, ballistics experts, historians and witnesses.

JKF: Destiny betrayed will air on the evening of Monday, November 22, on the anniversary of President Kennedy’s assassination. The mini-series will be broadcast at 9.15pm on Sky Documentaries, channels 122 and 402, but will also be available on demand and streaming on the NOW platform.
