IPhone X 2019: triple camera and Touch ID returns

Concept Creator imagines the next iPhone: triple rear camera and under-screen fingerprint sensor. Smaller notch and rounded edges

We’re still eight months away from the official unveiling, but the 2019 iPhone X continues to make waves. Very little information has been leaked from Apple so far (triple rear cam, smaller notch), but just enough to bring out the first renders of the next iPhone. These are simple style tests that have little in common with the work that is leading the Cupertino company, but that help to understand how the next iPhone could be.

This time to publish a render of the iPhone X 2019 is Concept Creator, YouTube account always very active on the front of the smartphone.

This time to publish a render of the iPhone X 2019 is Concept Creator, a YouTube account always very active on the smartphone front. The guys at Concept Creator have published a new video that shows an iPhone revolutionized in design: the triple rear camera takes up most of the body of the device, while the Touch ID is integrated within the display. A real novelty for the iPhone, but the fingerprint sensor under the screen is a solution already seen in the Android world. Will the new 2019 iPhone X really look like this? Impossible to say, it’s too early to make predictions.

How the 2019 iPhone X will look like

We are still too many months away from the official presentation of the 2019 iPhone X, which will take place next September, and no official information has come from Cupertino about how the smartphone will look like. For the moment, only anticipations have been leaked: Apple would be convinced to mount a triple rear camera and reduce the size of the notch to make the smartphone in step with the times.

The Concept Creator render shows us how Apple could integrate the triple cam into the rear shell of the device. The photo sensors will be arranged vertically, flanked by the LED flash and PDAF sensor. As you can see from the image, the camera compartment will be a bit elevated from the body, as is already the case on the iPhone Xs Max. According to Concept Creator, the main photo sensor will be 48 Megapixels.

The other unique feature of the 2019 iPhone X will be the return of Touch ID: it will be inserted under the display and will allow you to unlock the smartphone with your fingerprint. News also for the design: the edges of the smartphone will be more rounded and the notch smaller.

When iPhone X 2019 arrives

As has been the case for several years now, the iPhone 2019 will be unveiled in September and is expected to hit the market by October. Barring any major changes, Apple’s typical schedule will be adhered to for 2019 as well.
