A new bug, likely caused by a failed hacker attack, is creating numerous problems for iPhone users, here’s what’s happening and what to do
A new problem is affecting iPhone users around the world. What’s going on? Due to a bug on Apple ID, iPhones are crashing and becoming virtually unusable. This is not the first problem for the Cupertino company: in the last few weeks both iPhones and MacBooks have had to deal with some issues that have complicated the lives of users.
Apparently without a real reason, according to what many iPhone owners claim, some Apple IDs have started to freeze creating several problems in using the Apple phones. At the moment there are cases all over the world even if the bug on the Apple ID seems to be more widespread in the United States than in other countries. If your iPhone crashes suddenly it is possible that this new Apple bug is to blame. In any case, it will not be difficult to notice since on the screen of the smartphone will appear this message: “Your Apple ID has been locked for security reasons. To unlock it, you must verify your identity”.
How to remove the lock on the iPhone
If our iPhone should lock due to this malfunction on Apple ID, we will have to do nothing more than reenter our account details and password, then answer the security questions that we have set initially and we will regain possession of our phone. A real hassle especially if it happens all the time. At the moment Apple has not yet released any statement about it. According to some computer security experts, however, the bug is due to an attempted hacker attack on Apple databases. The attackers have stolen the users of many Apple IDs and then tried to force access by entering many passwords. These continuous attempts gone wrong may have locked our Apple ID on our smartphone.
What to do then? Simple, to avoid that in the long run the hacker who stole some of our data on Apple ID may be able to access our Cupertino account we go to the Apple ID personal area and change the password and security questions to identify our real identity. In this way we will improve the cybersecurity of our iPhone. At the moment there are no news of a possible loss of data for iPhone users and in any case Apple will soon solve the problem with a security patch.
