Iliad is working to launch also in Italy the offers for the fixed network: here’s how the rates could be
The expansion of Iliad in Italy continues expeditiously: after having exceeded four million customers on the mobile network and having exceeded 3500 active proprietary antennas on the territory of the Bel Paese, the telephone operator has also stated (through its CEO Benedetto Levi) to be ready to land on the market of fixed telephony home. A project that has a long deadline: by 2024.
It’s not a novelty for Iliad to offer a landline service: in France (country where the company was born) is already active in the sector with good results and offers that include calls, internet and also premium content, such as TV series and movies. Also in France Iliad has recently launched an offer called “Box 4G+”, that is a rate that provides only the Internet connection through a simple SIM card inserted inside a Wi-Fi modem. The offer was designed for areas of France where the fixed network does not arrive or where the signal quality is poor. A type of offer that could also arrive in Italy in the near future, well before 2024.
Iliad fixed network: when it arrives
Following the road map set by Iliad CEO Benedetto Levi, the phone operator will arrive on the fixed line market by 2024. Still three-four years to have the time to study the market carefully, provide itself with a proprietary network or rely on an existing one and launch offers that follow Iliad’s philosophy: advantageous, clear and fixed prices forever, with no hidden costs.
Iliad, the offers for the fixed network
It’s difficult to make predictions on how Iliad’s offers for the fixed network will be. The telephone operator could follow what the parent company has already done in France, where it has been active in the fixed line sector for several years now. In France, Free (the name of the phone operator) offers omni-comprehensive subscriptions: phone calls, internet and subscription to streaming platforms to watch sports, TV series and movies.
Also in France, it has also launched an offer designed for areas where the fixed network does not arrive or where the signal is poor. This is the Box 4G+ offer that allows users to connect to the Internet via 4G network while having 250GB available. Exceeded the threshold is decreased speed. Along with the card also comes a router with Ethernet portsĀ and allows you to connect via Wi-Fi. The cost of the offer is 29.99 euros per month.
A type of tariff that in the future could also be proposed to Italian users, well before the launch of the fixed network.
