From China come confirmations on the characteristics of the Huawei P30 Pro: the smartphone will mount the Kirin 985 and will have a camera for 10x zoom
The road followed by Huawei in the last year in the world of smartphones seems to have paid off: the last two top-of-the-line smartphones made by the Chinese manufacturer are considered among the best cameraphones on the market. The merit is the triple rear camera that Huawei has made together with Leica and that is present on both the Huawei P20 Pro and the Mate 20 Pro.
The Huawei P30 in recent weeks has been the protagonist of several anticipations: first the design, then the technical features and now the photographic compartment, on which the Chinese company bets a lot to continue to catch up with Samsung and Apple. According to the latest rumors coming from China, the next top of the range Huawei, the P30 Pro, will have a photographic compartment composed of four rear cameras. This is also confirmed by a rendering published on Weibo, the most used social media in China. The four cameras will allow the Huawei P30 Pro to improve the few aspects that had not convinced the P20 Pro’s graphics compartment: night photos and focus.
Huawei P30 Pro: Kirin 985 and teardrop design
From the render published in China we can also understand the design of the Huawei P30 Pro. The Chinese company seems to have abandoned the notch to make way for the “teardrop” that we have already seen on the OnePlus 6T and other smartphones released in recent months. The screen occupies most of the front with very thin bezels. Compared to the Mate 20 Pro, the rear cameras have a different layout: they will be positioned vertically and between the first and second sensor will be inserted the flash. Each photo sensor will have a different function: the main one will serve to take the image, the second will be a telephoto lens with 10x optical zoom (first time in the smartphone world), the third will be a wide-angle lens, while the fourth camera (positioned slightly lower than the others) will be a ToF (Time of Flight) sensor dedicated to measuring the distance and depth field to improve the focus of the smartphone.
Turning to the technical characteristics of the smartphone, the Huawei P30 Pro will mount the Kirin 985, an enhanced version of the Kirin 980 that will allow you to open applications even faster.
When the Huawei P30 Pro comes out
The smartphone is expected to be presented during the Mobile World Congress 2019 that will take place in late February in Barcelona. The market launch is likely to happen during the second week of March 2019.
