Some elements present in the new beta version of iOS 12 have anticipated the design and some features of the new iPad Pro 2018, that’s how it will be
The fifth beta version of the mobile operating system iOS 12, just released by Apple, gives us several information about how will be the new iPad Pro 2018 from Cupertino, which will be presented with an ad hoc event in that of New York on October 30. Or, at least, unveils some technical details and many elements of the design of Apple’s flagship tablet.
We start with the design that still provides the bezels quite evident on the entire screen of the iPad Pro, contrary therefore to some previous predictions that had led to think of the first full-view tablet for Apple. Bezels that as mentioned are evident but much reduced compared to previous models and that will certainly improve the user experience in watching videos, movies, TV series and various multimedia content. Also because there will be no physical button on the screen. The keys will only be lateral, the two for the volume (on the right side) plus the one for the power (at the top of the iPad Pro 2018). Although it must be said in previous renders from sources close to Apple the power button had been placed just below the two volume buttons.
iPad Pro 2018: here’s how it will look
The design of the new iPad Pro 2018 is also strongly influenced by the thickness of the device, much thinner than the other iPads on the market. There will be no notch, the notch for housing the camera as on iPhone X, iPhone Xs and iPhone Xs Max, but for all intents and purposes the iPad Pro 2018 is very reminiscent of a phablet rather than a tablet in shape. The rear camera is expected to be embossed while in the front camera we will see the introduction of FaceID, Apple’s in-house facial recognition technology. A novelty that makes the iPad Pro 2018 the first Apple tablet with this feature so far only seen on iPhones. But this will not be the only big news thought by Cupertino for its flagship tablet. On iPad Pro 2018 in fact we will no longer find the port Lightning that will be replaced by a USB-C port. The adoption of a USB Type-C port will also lead to the launch of a new Apple Pencil that will no longer connect via Lightning but thanks to Bluetooth.
Two iPad Pro 2018 models
As far as the screen size is concerned there will be two iPad Pro 2018 models, one 12.9 inches and another 11 inches. The technology chosen is LCD and not OLED so as not to make the device consume too much battery. The new 2018 iPad Pro will be shown exclusively at an event set for next October 30, 2018 in New York. At the same event Apple will also unveil a new 13-inch MacBook Retina and the new version of Mac Mini.
