Would you like to see your friends’ Instagram Stories without ending up in the viewing list? Here are some tricks tested on PC and smartphones
In recent times, Stories are becoming the most interesting and most viewed content within Instagram. It’s not wrong to say that the social network dedicated to photos has made the right choice in offering this feature to its users: stories capture more views and more interactions than regular posts.
With the extended duration of stories, introduced at the end of 2018, this applies even more. Also, and this is something very useful for those who publish this content, you can know who views your stories and count the number of users who have viewed them. If you have ambitions as an Instagrammer all this can be very useful to you. But what if, on the contrary, you want to view a story without letting the person who created it know? You can watch Instagram stories without being seen, here’s how to do it via Chrome extensions or specific apps.
StoriesIG
To watch Stories anonymously all you need is a browser and a site. By accessing StoriesIG, in fact, you’ll be able to see the Instagram Stories of all public profiles without needing a login or other personal information. All you’ll have to do is enter the username of the profile you want to “spy” and wait a few seconds. Stories uploaded in the last 24 hours will be shown in chronological order on the results page: you can see them as many times as you want (or even download them) without appearing in the list of views.
Web IG Story
Web IG Story is an extension for Chrome that, among the many things it can do, also allows you to spy on anyone’s stories without being among the users who have viewed them. After downloading it from the Chrome Web Store and installing it, Web IG Story allows you to download to your PC or Mac photos, videos and stories of any user without him knowing about it. You can do this even for users you don’t follow.
Story Saver for Instagram (Android)
Story Saver for Instagram is an Android app that lets you view and download photos, videos and stories of any Isntagram user in just a few taps. To download (i.e. view without being seen) an Instagram story with this app you have to enter the profile of the user who posted it, tap on the preview of the story and then choose between “Repost”, “Save” or “Share”. With the first option you republish the story on your profile, with the second you save it on your device and with the third you share it.
Story Reposter (iOS)
To save and view undetected an Instagram story on your iOS device, instead, you can use the iPhone app Story Reposter. It has pretty much the same functionality as Story Saver for Instagram but has one limitation: it doesn’t work with private profiles. To use it, you have to search for the name of a user you’re interested in, tap on their profile and then the “Video/Photo posted” button. When you see the preview you have to press on “Repost” and select the item “More”: it will open a menu from which you can choose to save the photo or video of the story.
