When trying to make a network connection on a Windows computer you may get an error message, here’s how to fix it
When trying to configure or make a network connection on a Windows computer you may get an error message.
This could be due to technical defects or configuration problems between PC and Network. Here’s how to solve the “Limited or no connectivity” error on Windows.
If after a few connection attempts the problem persists, the first suggestion is to try restarting the computer. In fact, the network problem may be related to the PC software and a reboot may help to solve the situation. If after the restart the error continues to be displayed then we try to restart the router. I recommend that we should not restore it, but only restart it. To do this just turn off and on again. Usually the power button is located in the back of the modem. If even this action did not lead to positive results then we will have to do a more thorough analysis.
Check the cables
If we use an Ethernet cable to connect, it is better to make sure that the wire is well connected between the computer and the router. We also check that the Ethernet port of the modem is not damaged. If everything seems to be in order we use, if we have it, another Ethernet cable. Maybe this could be the cause of the problems.
From the command prompt
If the problems persist then we can try to resolve the error manually from the Command Prompt of Windows 10. Here we enter the command: “netsh int ip reset C: logreset.txt”. This allows you to reset the TCP/IP stack. TCP (Transmission Control Protocol)/IP (Internet Protocol) is the set of transmission protocols used for data interchange on the Internet.
Wi-Fi Error
If the error “Limited or no connectivity” is displayed in the Wi-Fi section, it is possible that the network has been automatically disabled by the computer. Just re-enable the Wi-Fi to connect to the Internet again.
Update drivers
If you are using an outdated network card, it is possible that the problem is the driver update. Try updating it and the error should be resolved in a few minutes. Pay attention to the protection keys used by the router. The modem may have set a WPA or other protection key incorrectly. To correct this problem, just go to the router page and change the WPA.
