While the anticipation grows for the release in our country of the latest installment of the Star Wars saga, Star Wars: Rise of Skywalker, scheduled for next December 18, Fortnite users are already buzzing about the exclusive news announced by Epic Games. The good news concerns a flashback between Fortnite and Star Wars, with the launch of a new partnership after the one that took place on the occasion of the official release of the video game Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order available for PS4, Xbox One and PC.
Last November, the arrival of the new video game, was announced on Fortnite thanks to a series of suggestive gimmicks, such as the presence of a Star Destroyer suspended in mid-air in the sky of the game island. Not only that, those who had purchased the game could wear a new Stormtrooper costume, while everyone else could buy it on the Fortnite store. The new partnership, however, concerns the film: Epic Games has prepared a surprise that will make everyone happy. Appointment for the December 14 at 19:30 at the Risky Rapids.
Fortnite and Star Wars: Rise of Skywalker
To celebrate the release of the last chapter of Star Wars , Fortnite will screen a real treat dedicated to fans of the stellar story started by George Lucas in the late seventies and continued by director J.J. Abrams. Next December 14 at 19.30 all Fortnite players can gather at the Risky Rapids where it will be projected an unreleased and exclusive scene of the new film “Star Wars: Rise of Skywalker”. Apparently, J.J. Abrams himself will also be present, obviously in a digital version. It is still unknown if the famous director will be able to interact with Fortnite players.
Fortnite Chapter 2: Season 1 extended until February 2020
In the meantime, Epic Games has confirmed that Season 1 of Fortnite Chapter 2 will not end as originally planned in December, but will continue until next February 2020. As announced by the software house, the decision was made to allow developers to focus on devising new challenges and new Christmas-themed accessories. No official date has been released yet, but the launch of the Christmas event could be really imminent. Compared to previous seasons of Fortnite, Season 1 of Chapter 2 will thus last twice as long and will be the forerunner to a series of exclusive news wanted by the developers of Epic Games for 2020.
