How to pick up Amazon packages in stores with Amazon Counter

The e-commerce giant is offering a new shipping method for its users. It’s Counter, and it allows you to pick up packages wherever you are

Are you on vacation in some Italian (or British) city and don’t know where to have your latest Amazon purchase shipped? No fear: from today, in fact, the e-commerce giant launches a new service to meet the needs of its customers: Amazon Counter. An integral part of the Hub project, this new service will allow you to pick up the packages ordered on the portal in thousands of pick-up points scattered throughout Italy.

This is yet another shipping method offered by Amazon to its customers. After the home delivery (including the one in one working day) and the withdrawal at the Amazon Lockers (lockers present in stations and public places of the major Italian cities), now those who buy from the portal created by Jeff Bezos can also choose one of the stores Giunti Librerie or a point SisalPay or Fermopoint. The procedure for purchase and collection is extremely simple and allows all subscribers to have their package – even the day after the purchase – even if they are not at home.

“We are thrilled to be alongside Amazon in the launch of Counter, making our extensive network of proximity available to Italians to offer a new value service – says Francesco Maldari, Head of Payments and Services of the Sisal Group. Simplifying people’s lives, improving everyday services and payments, is the mission of SisalPay and the new Counter collection service represents an important step for the benefit of consumers and merchants”.

How to collect parcels in stores with Amazon Counter

To use Amazon Counter services, all you need to do is be registered on the e-commerce platform owned by Jeff Bezos. The service can be used by all users, who will simply have to select “Amazon Counter” and indicate their preferred pick-up point.

In the screen that precedes the conclusion of the transaction, therefore, you can indicate whether you prefer a Giunti Librerie store or a SisalPay or Fermopoint point. Obviously, you will not be forced to choose one in the vicinity of the shipping address that you usually use, but you can opt for the most convenient according to your needs. As mentioned above, choosing Amazon Counter you can also opt for one-day delivery: Prime users will be able to take advantage of free next-day shipping; users without a Prime subscription, however, will have to pay an additional fee.

As soon as the order has been delivered to the chosen point, the user will receive an email with a unique barcode, which the manager of the bookstore or point will have to scan to verify the correctness of the information. From receipt of the notification email, customers have 14 days to pick up their package.
