A facial filter has arrived on Instagram that lets you find out which Disney character you are: here’s how to use it
Which Disney character represents you the most? You can find out thanks to a new feature on Instagram. Starting in August 2019, the app allows users to insert new AR (augmented reality) facial effects. Among the many options, there is also one related to Disney fairy tale characters.
The facial effects are accessible from Instagram Stories, the temporary content used increasingly by users of the platform. Until a few months ago, it was possible to choose exclusively between filters, which allow you to change the colors of the images, and some masks proposed by the channel. But since the company has opened the doors to the creativity of users, you can indulge your imagination. And among the many proposals stands out the one related to Disney imagery. To discover your own character and add him or her to your story, there are two very simple procedures to follow. Here’s how to do it.
Disney character on Instagram: from the Story of another user
The first way to find out which Disney character you are is to use the same effect you’ve seen in another Story. In fact, features are often discovered by looking at other people’s content. If you’ve been watching (for less than 24 hours) a Story that used the effect you want, then view it again and follow the process.
You’ll simply need to tap on the name of the effect that appears just below the username. In a nutshell, you’ll have to tap on “Which Disney? by arnopartissimo” that is the name of the function, followed by the name of its author. At this point a pop-up window will open that will allow you to try the effect right away, save it and have it available when you want to make a story, send it to a contact or perform other actions, such as looking for other effects by the same author or report it.
To try it right away, you’ll have to tap the first item on the menu “Try it”. It will open the front camera and you can find out which Disney character you are and share it in your Story.
Discover Disney character from arnopartissimo’s Instagram profile
As we mentioned, Instagram now allows users to create and post many effects. Arnopartissimo is among the most active, he has already created many facial filters and makes them available in his profile. Among them, “Which Disney?” also stands out, which can be used right from the author’s profile.
First, you need to log in to the @arnopartissimo account and then tap on the so-called Highlighted Content, which is the archive of Stories that are located before the photo and video feed. The first Highlighted Content is the one dedicated to the Disney character.
Clicking on the circle will take you to the Story, where the author shows you how the filter works. Also in this case just tap on the name of the filter that appears below the account name and follow the same procedure as before. You can try it now, save it in your archive and use it later and so on.
